Grant is provided under the Community Outreach and Leadership Development project (6740301) to Cooperative Planning and Education (COPE) to provide training and TA to disadvantaged groups interested in starting cooperatives or small community businesses in South Africa.

Abstract
COPE will conduct workshops focusing on financial planning, management, and other business development topics. Direct TA may include helping groups conduct a feasibility study, carry out market research, develop a business plan, and establish operating procedures. Grant funds will be used for staff salaries, consultant fees, and staff development costs (e.g., training courses and related costs).
