Abstract
The Organization for the Rehabilitation of the Environment will carry out subproject activities, including: (1) producing 20,000 grafted fruit tree seedlings (15,000 citrus, 4,000 avocado, and 1,000 mango) in ultra-violet resistant plastic bags and distributing them to approximately 2,000 small farmers who own less than 5 carreaux of land; (2) establishing special orchards at Duchity and Platon, to include rare tree varieties for future grafting; (3) locating, and grafting with high-quality budwood, 10,000 wild, low-quality sour orange trees; and (4) training a team of 8 animator/technicians in grafting techniques to enable them to educate the local population and to help implement subproject field activities.
