Abstract
Fe y Alegria will provide 10-14 grants to support small self-help initiatives proposed by low-income communities and grassroots organizations. Activities to be supported include: (1) technical training and employment generation in bakery production, carpentry, sewing and knitting, shoemaking, etc. and (2) social services activities in health and nutrition, and electrification, sanitation, among others. The grants will fund the provision of construction materials, tools, equipment, teaching supplies, TA, and complementary supplies. Funds may also be used by vocational training workshops to procure an initial stock of materials for future production activities.
