AID cooperative agreement no. ANE-0004-A-00-0049-00 with World Wildlife Fund and The Conservation Foundation to provide training and information dissemination services in support of the environmental improvement programs of Eastern European countries

WWF/CF will conduct a workshop for 40-50 Eastern European NGO representatives, based on case studies of actual environmental problems in Eastern Europe. Topics to be covered may include: air pollution abatement, industrial waste minimization, hazardous waste management, economic tools for environmental management, and institutional development. The workshop will be followed by a long-term information exchange. WWF/CF will also explore the feasibility of initiating an environmental information service. To test the level of interest in such a service, a brief announcement will be distributed to NGO"s, describing the service"s goal, the types of information available, and how to access it. Logs will be kept of requests received and actions taken.
