Other members of the consortium include Sparks Companies, Inc., the American Trust for Agriculture in Poland, and the University of Minnesota"s Center for International Food and Agriculture Policy. Up to 736 small and medium agribusinesses, selected for their strong prospects for success, will receive assistance. In-country training topics will include agribusiness management, finance, and operations; agricultural supply; labor management; equipment leasing and sales; advertising and agricultural publications; marketing; management of trading companies; foreign investment and joint ventures; privatization; and management and operation of private commodity markets. U.S.-based training, more limited and targeted, will address areas such as executive-level agribusiness management, women leaders in agribusiness, and training of trainers. The consortium will also assist emerging agribusiness with TA.
