Grant is provided to Iowa State University for a educational and consulting program to help restructure agriculture and agribusiness in the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic.
1992

Abstract
The university will serve as lead institution of a U.S. consortium, which includes major corporations such as Pioneer Hi-Bred International and American Breeders Services; Experience, Inc., a consulting firm; Iowa-based private businesses and business associations; and the National Cooperative Business Association. The program will include workshops, TA, special conferences (e.g., on youth, on women), U.S. internships, and a train-the-trainer program, with 60% of efforts going toward agricultural/agribusiness restructuring, 30% to universities, agricultural technical schools, and ministries, and 10% to public awareness (production of four television programs). Since the program will be demand-driven, considerable time will be spent identifying the needs of Czech and Slovak agricultural businesses and institutions.
