AID cooperative agreement no. OTR-0000-A-00-8120-00 to World Rehabilitation Fund, Inc. to provide medical care and other relief for children who are victims of the Nicaraguan civil strife

(WRF) to provide prosthetic/orthotic devices and other rehabilitative services to children up to age 17 who are victims of the civil strife in Nicaragua. WRF"s services will include case findings and diagnosis, fabrication of artificial limbs and braces and fitting assistance, ambulation training, and adjustment counseling for patients and families. Up to 500 children will be evaluated; of these, 250 will be provided with below- or above-knee prostheses or with orthoses (braces). WRF will cooperate with Partners of the Americas and International Medical Care to reach affected children inside Nicaragua.
