Grant is provided under the Children"s Survival Assistance Program for Nicaragua (5940003) to Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to provide medicines and medical supplies to enable CRS health clinics to provide medical care to children up to age 17 who are victims of the civil strife in Nicaragua.

Abstract
CRS will provide these supplies to some 80 clinics located in the north, central, and Atlantic Coast regions of Nicaragua, with particular emphasis on areas of former conflict. Direct beneficiaries are estimated at over 200,000, some two-thirds of them children under 17. In addition, up to 100 child victims with serious medical problems will be referred either to Hospital de los Ninos in San Jose, Costa Rice, or to other PVO"s that are providing specialized treatment to such children under Project 5940003.
