AID cooperative agreement no. OTR-0192-A-00-9052-00 to Agricultural Cooperative Development International to foster economic development by improving the income and well being of farmers worldwide, particularly in developing nations, through assisting in the organization and use of member owned agricultural and credit institutions

Grant is provided under the Cooperative Grants to PVO"s Project (9380192) to Agricultural Cooperative Development International (ACDI) to support ACDI"s capacity to design and implement development projects benefiting agricultural cooperatives and farm credit systems.

Abstract

ACDI will: (1) maintain relationships with other cooperative institutions in the United States and elsewhere; (2) continue its public information activities, including publication of the newsletter, "Cooperative News International," and its contributions to other publications; (3) prepare proposals for A.I.D. and other donors for worldwide cooperative projects; (4) provide training and TA to Third World cooperatives, including short-term U.S. scholarships; and (5) conduct three impact evaluations of a selected ACDI project, along with other evaluations.
