Grant is provided under the Food Aid Institutional Development project (9380704) to help fund the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) International"s continuing efforts to decentralize and improve the management of its food assisted development programs in Bolivia, Ghana, Haiti, Peru, and Uganda.

Abstract
To achieve this, ADRA plans to provide customized TA, training, monitoring, and evaluation to its programs in each of the target countries. In Bolivia, ADRA proposes to improve its commodity handling procedures, retarget beneficiaries, and fund activities in agriculture, potable water development, and health and educational facilities construction. In Ghana, ADRA proposes to initiate a joint agroforestry project with World Bank and Peace Corps, as well as food for work (FFW) projects in reforestation, community farming, road building, water development, and education. In Haiti, ADRA plans to continue its multifaceted program which includes FFW, integrated maternal/child health care (MCH), school feeding, child feeding, and umbrella activities with nine Haitian PVO"s. In Peru, ADRA plans to provide for the movement and storage, including warehouse improvement, of commodities which support activities in child survival, agriculture, microenterprise development, and infrastructure building. In Uganda, ADRA plans to support activities related to relief and resettlement, agriculture, reforestation, and management.
