AID cooperative agreement no. PDC-0267-A-00-5058-00 with Cooperative for American Relief Everywhere to increase CARE"s ability to design, implement and evaluate field projects that lead to the sustained creation of rural capital

Funds will be used for four specific activities. (1) CARE will continue to support selected agroforestry projects originated under the first matching grant, and will implement new or substantially modified projects in primary health care, food use, and small enterprise development. (2) Regional Technical Assistance Teams (RTAT"s), each with three specialists, will be established to support the RCF program. The teams will be based in Thailand, Kenya, Cameroon, and Peru. (3) Funds will be allocated for regional and country-specific workshops for CARE staff and project participants, as well as for manuals, monographs, audiovisual aids, etc. (4) A two-person team at CARE headquarters will manage the RCF program.
