AID grant agreement no. 391-0485-G-00-3318-00 to the United Nations International Drug Control Programme (UNDCP) for conferences for policymakers, leaders, and the media on drug control through demand reduction, supply reduction, and law enforcement

The grant will finance two conferences, to be held concurrently in May 1993 in or near Islamabad: (1) a high profile Awareness Conference to acquaint key policy- and decision-makers, senior media and drug control personnel, and national and international experts on the seriousness of Pakistan"s drug problem and the its effect on public life and good governance; and (2) a policy-oriented meeting to being together high-level Pakistani officials and policy makers in an effort to devise counter-narcotics efforts, including poppy reduction schemes, at the federal and provincial levels.
