Grant is provided under the Development Planning Training and Support Project (5200384) to the Guatemalan Development Foundation (FUNDESA) for a program to acquaint leaders from key Guatemalan sectors with the policies and programs that underlie Chile"s social and economic reforms.

Abstract
Guatemalan politicians, newspeople, union leaders, academicians, government and parastatal officials, and entrepreneurs will spend a week in Santiago, Chile, where they will meet with influential public and private sector individuals and visit port facilities, agroindustrial centers, etc., in order to learn how the lessons of Chilean reforms can be applied in the Guatemalan setting.
