Grant is provided under the regional Intercountry Technology Transfer project to Uruguay"s National Chamber of Commerce to prepare a document which will reflect the private sector"s position on important social and economic issues facing the new government authorities to be elected in 11/89.

Abstract

The document will have six chapters: introduction, institutional framework, reform of State policy, public and private sector effectiveness and efficiency, macroeconomic policy, and education and employment generation.
