Grant is provided to the Export Service Center of the Oregon Department of Agriculture to expand its computerized data base on international food laws and regulations to include Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Abstract

The data base provides information, sorted by country, commodity, and substance or compound, on: food additives and preservatives, pesticide residue and heavy metal tolerances, and microbiological criteria. Data on labeling requirements, standards of identity, and required product testing profiles may be added as well. Training on use of the data base will be conducted in the three countries.
