AID grant no. AOT-10007-G-00-3154-00 to Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in support of its application, entitled `Program support for the 1993 CRS/REST [Relief Society of Tigray], dated July 16, 1993, as amplified by its letter, dated May 17, 1993

CRS will: (1) assist REST in distributing 172,000 MT of food to some 1 million beneficiaries; (2) advise REST as it continues its efforts to transform itself from a relief to a rehabilitation and development entity; (3) help REST to meet U.S. Government standards of accountability with regard to food and cash; and (4) conduct joint information-sharing, training, and program evaluation activities with REST with the ultimate objective of enabling REST to become a cooperating sponsor for U.S. government resources.
