Grant is provided under the Bosnia Disaster Relief Project to the International Rescue Committee (IRC) to help displaced persons in the former Yugoslavia survive the winter of 1992-1993.

Abstract
Targeted populations and distribution points will be located principally in the communities of Zenica, Travnik, Tusla, Sarajevo, Mostar, Jablanica, Zepce, Duboi, Brcko, Visoko, Olovo, and Vitez. IRC will: (1) locally procure and distribute shelter materials for roofing and windows (plastic sheeting, asphalt sheeting, corrugated metal sheeting, roofing tacks, concrete nails) for approximately 10,400 homes, potentially benefiting 62,400 persons; (2) using local suppliers and manufacturers, produce and distribute 20,000 coal/kerosene stoves/heaters, potentially benefiting 120,000 persons; (3) provide coal and kerosene for heating and cooking; and (4) expand the work force at a food production and packaging plant to produce enough vitamin-enriched food products to feed 100,000 people, 3 days a week, for 12 weeks. This 3/9/93 grant applies to expenditures by IRC between 11/20/92 and 3/3/1/93.
