Matching Support Grant is provided under project 9365060 to California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, to increase its faculty"s capacity to serve on two Title XII projects in which the university is involved: the Horticulture Improvement and Training (HITS) subproject of the Yemen Agriculture Development Support project (2790052) and the Lesotho Agricultural Production and Institutional Support (LAPIS) project (6320221).

Abstract
Funds will be used to: (1) train 36 faculty in USAID organization and processes, project design and management skills, and cross cultural adjustment techniques; (2) finance internships for nine faculty on the two projects; and (3) develop and disseminate educational materials in horticulture, animal science, irrigation, plant protection, vocational agriculture, etc. to host country personnel participating in the projects.
