Abstract
Title XII projects supporting agricultural and natural resource development in arid lands. Funds will help finance: (1) language training, refresher, and orientation programs for faculty involved in projects in West Africa, Cape Verde, and possibly the Middle East; (2) seminars and workshops to enhance faculty awareness of women"s role in agriculture; (3) programs to increase faculty familiarity with A.I.D. policies and procedures; (4) workshops and seminars on technical subjects such as farming systems research, policy analysis, and institution building strategies; and (5) the acquisition of library and training materials.
