AID grant no. EUR-0020-G-00-2050-00 to the Fund for Justice and Education of the American Bar Association to provide support to the ABA"s Central and Eastern European law initiative (CEELI) program

Through CEELI, the ABA will conduct activities to further establish and protect civil and political rights and freedoms in the region. Activities under the grant will include: (1) legal workshops on such issues as constitutional reform, judicial organization, administrative law, and local government restructuring; (2) quick response legal TA (e.g., in drafting and implementing legislation); (3) long-term TA and the assignment of in-country long-term legal resource liaisons; and (4) long-term training for judges, lawyers, and law school faculty.
