AID grant no OTR-0086-G-SS-1164-00 to Human Rights Internet to provide support for a conference entitled `access to positive law remedies and to national, regional and international procedures and organizations for the promotion and protection of human rights"

Grant is provided under the Human Rights project (9300086) to Human Rights Internet to support a pilot seminar on human rights for six participants from each of the five ASEAN countries of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines and five participants from the United States.

Abstract

The seminar, to be held in Manila in February 1982, will cover: formal and informal teaching of human rights; various countries" means of protecting international human rights; international petition procedures for alleging rights violations; alternative means of protecting rights; organizational issues pertaining to rights litigation groups.
