Cooperative agreement no. OTR-0293-A-00-7143-00 with World Vision Relief Organization

Activities will focus on Senegal, Mali, Ghana, Kenya, and Malawi (although additional countries may be added later). WVRO will: (1) secure experienced staff and establish a regionally based technical information and documentation center to manage activities and provide oversight for large-scale water development projects; (2) institute a program of technology transfer, training, and TA for field staffs; (3) strengthen the existing regional technical team"s capability to provide ongoing TA and training to field staffs; (4) create small technical resource units within field offices in the five target countries; and (5) procure materials, equipment, and technical services for the implementation of selected water projects. The WASH project will provide TA. Linking project activities with P.L. 480, Title II is being explored by WVRO. If these efforts prove feasible, the Grant Agreement will be amended to include Title II projects.
