Grant to the Federation Tunisienne des Femmes de Carrieres Juridiques (FTFCJ) to raise consciousness among Tunisian women regarding their legal rights, investigate the effect of legislation on women, and collect and analyze data concerning women in the labor force.
1981

Abstract
FTFCJ will produce (in Arabic and French) and distribute both a simple question-and-answer guide to women"s legal rights and a periodical to disseminate more sophisticated and complex information on this topic. FTFCJ will also sponsor public discussions on these issues throughout Tunisia. In addition, FTFCJ will: (1) review Tunisia"s electoral and personal status laws, their application, and their impact on women; and (2) with the assistance (if required) of social science and statistics experts, collect and analyze data on women in the Tunisian labor force. Amendment of 3/22/84 cancels the periodicals activity and reprograms these funds to be used for equipment, a study on women"s participation in elective institutions, and part-time librarian services.
