Abstract
The project began with a total of 144 schools, with 12 schools under the School Kitchen Equipment Project (SKEP). The project is divided into four phases, with each phase comprising multiple packages and contractors. Phase I of JSEP consists of 27 schools, with Bitar Consultants as the supervising firm. The construction process is nearing completion, with substantial completion achieved for all schools. However, electrical connections remain a challenge, with only one school having completed electrical connections. Trigon, the project management firm, has been coordinating with the supervising firm and MPWH to expedite the taking over process. Phase II of JSEP comprises 36 schools, with Mansour Essa Elagaileh & Partners as the supervising firm. Substantial completion has been achieved for all schools, with first and second inspections completed for most schools. However, electrical connections are still pending for five schools. Trigon has been coordinating with the supervising firm and MPWH to expedite the taking over process. Phase III of JSEP consists of 33 schools, with Baha Consultant Engineering as the supervising firm. Substantial completion has been achieved for all schools, with first and second inspections completed for most schools. However, electrical connections remain a challenge, with only one school having completed electrical connections. Trigon has been coordinating with the supervising firm and MPWH to expedite the taking over process. Phase IV of JSEP comprises 48 schools, with various supervising firms and contractors. Substantial completion has been achieved for all schools, with first and second inspections completed for most schools. However, electrical connections remain a challenge, with only a few schools having completed electrical connections. Trigon has been coordinating with the supervising firms and MPWH to expedite the taking over process. The School Kitchen Equipment Project (SKEP) consists of 12 schools, with various supervising firms and contractors. Construction is approaching completion, with work completed ranging between 88-99%. Electrical connections are still pending for some schools, and water service fees are still pending payment by MOE for some schools. Trigon continues to monitor project communications and coordinate with the supervising firms as required. Trigon has been coordinating with the supervising firms, MPWH, and MOE to expedite the taking over process and address outstanding issues. The project management firm has identified the major steps required for electrical connections and is working to remove bottlenecks. Trigon has also met with the Secretary General of MOE to request assistance in expediting the disbursement of utilities fees.
