Abstract
The project involves the construction of new schools and the renovation of existing ones, with a focus on improving educational facilities and services for students. A total of 144 schools are currently under construction or renovation as part of the JSEP. The project is being implemented in phases, with each phase comprising a specific number of schools. The supervising firms responsible for overseeing the construction process include Sadeen Contracting, Al Joud Contracting, Mohammad Tahayneh for Contracting, and others. The construction process is being managed by Trigon, which is responsible for coordinating with the supervising firms, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH), and the Ministry of Education (MOE) to ensure the timely completion of the project. Trigon has identified several challenges, including the lack of electrical connections to some schools, which is hindering the completion of the project. Despite these challenges, Trigon has made significant progress in expediting the taking-over process, with substantial completion achieved for many schools. However, electrical connections to schools remain a major issue, with many schools still awaiting connection. Trigon has identified the major steps required to resolve this issue and is working closely with the supervising firms, MPWH, and MOE to expedite the process. In addition to the construction of new schools, the JSEP also involves the renovation of existing schools. Trigon has been working closely with the supervising firms and the design firms to ensure that the renovation work is completed on time and to a high standard. However, some schools are still awaiting soil tests, and HP printers and cameras have not been provided due to a long delivery schedule by the suppliers. The JSEP is a complex project that requires close coordination and collaboration among various stakeholders. Trigon has been working tirelessly to ensure the successful completion of the project, despite the challenges and obstacles encountered. The project's ultimate goal is to provide improved educational facilities and services for students in Jordan, and Trigon is committed to achieving this goal.
