Abstract
Agency for International Development. The guide is designed to provide clinical staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive care to Ebola survivors. The guide is structured into seven modules, each focusing on a specific aspect of care for Ebola survivors. Module 1, Introduction to the Workshop, sets the stage for the training by introducing the participants, reviewing the course objectives, and establishing ground rules for the training. The training is designed to be interactive, with activities such as welcome and introductions, purpose of the training and course objectives, review of schedule, and ground rules and norms. The trainers are expected to review the trainer notes several times, be prepared for questions, and understand the session objectives. The guide emphasizes the importance of mutual respect and open communication among participants, encouraging them to share their experiences and learn from each other. The trainers are urged to tap into the participants' motivation to learn and apply the knowledge gained to their work. The guide also highlights the need for comprehensive care for Ebola survivors, including routine comprehensive care, common and important syndromes, infection prevention and control, and ethical considerations. The trainers are expected to provide participants with the latest clinical care guidelines and facilitate their understanding and application of the knowledge. The guide is designed to be used in a training setting, with materials such as slides, a sign-in sheet, name tags, and a copy of the MOH Ebola Survivors Clinical Care Guidance for each participant. The trainers are expected to be prepared to conduct selected examinations, demonstrate and practice safe hand washing technique, and facilitate group discussions and activities. Overall, the Clinical Care Guidelines for Ebola Survivors: Trainers' Guide is a comprehensive resource designed to equip clinical staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality care to Ebola survivors.
