Abstract
The project is part of the USAID Mission Infrastructure Needs Program II (INP II), which focuses on the rehabilitation and construction of roads, schools, and water and wastewater projects. The objective of this Task Order is to construct two new water reservoirs, two new booster pump stations, and their associated supply and distribution pipelines in the Al Atatrah and Nuseirat areas of Gaza. The Al Atatrah area project involves the construction of a 3800m3 ground reservoir to replace the abandoned elevated water tank, which is deteriorated and slated for demolition. Additionally, the project includes the supply and installation of a Skid Mounted Booster Pump Station and a new Booster Pump Station connected to a new UPVC distribution network with an approximate total length of 6.3 KLM varying in diameter. The Nuseirat area project involves the construction of a new water reservoir and booster pump station, as well as the supply and installation of a new UPVC distribution network. The project is being implemented by The Morganti Group, Inc. under Contract No. AID-294-I-00-12-00002 and Task Order No. AID-294-TO-15-00008. The project timeline is critical, with a focus on completing the construction of the reservoirs and pumping facilities within a specified timeframe to ensure that the population of Gaza has access to clean drinking water. The project involves several key stakeholders, including the USAID Mission, the Palestinian Authority, and the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility (CMWU). The project also involves the implementation of safety protocols, environmental compliance measures, and community outreach programs to ensure that the project is executed in a responsible and sustainable manner. The project's progress is being monitored and reported on a monthly basis, with a focus on tracking key performance indicators such as the completion of construction activities, the installation of equipment, and the testing of systems. The project's progress is also being reviewed and assessed by the USAID Mission and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is meeting its objectives and is on track to be completed within the specified timeframe. The project's implementation is being carried out in accordance with the Construction Risk Management Plan (CRMP) and the Quality Control Program (QCP). The project's safety protocols are being implemented in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other relevant regulations. The project's environmental compliance measures are being implemented in accordance with the Palestinian Authority's environmental regulations and the USAID Mission's environmental policies. The project's community outreach program is being implemented to engage with local stakeholders and to ensure that the project is executed in a responsible and sustainable manner. The project's gender action plan is also being implemented to ensure that the project's benefits are equitably distributed among all stakeholders, including women and other marginalized groups. The project's progress is being reported on a monthly basis, with a focus on tracking key performance indicators and assessing the project's overall progress. The project's next steps will involve the completion of the construction of the reservoirs and pumping facilities, the installation of equipment, and the testing of systems. The project's final completion date is expected to be in [insert date].
