The Kyrgyz Republic's Ministry of Education and Science initiated a course on Organizational Performance Improvement in Bishkek in 2016.

Abstract
The primary objective of this course was to enhance the capacity of public sector institutions to improve their performance and efficiency. The course was designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to analyze and address organizational performance gaps. The course curriculum focused on key areas, including strategic planning, performance measurement, and results-based management. Participants learned about various tools and techniques for assessing organizational performance, such as balanced scorecards and performance metrics. They also gained insights into effective communication and stakeholder engagement strategies. The course emphasized the importance of collaboration and partnership-building in achieving organizational performance improvement. A total of 30 participants from various public sector institutions attended the course. The participants represented a range of departments, including education, healthcare, and social services. The course was delivered by a team of international experts with extensive experience in organizational performance improvement. The trainers used a combination of lectures, group discussions, and case studies to facilitate learning and encourage active participation. The course outcomes were evaluated through a series of assessments and feedback sessions. The results showed that participants demonstrated significant improvements in their understanding of organizational performance improvement concepts and tools. Many participants reported applying the knowledge and skills gained from the course to their work, resulting in improved organizational performance and efficiency. The course was deemed a success, and plans were made to replicate it in other regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The course was supported by the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank, which provided funding and technical assistance. The Ministry of Education and Science played a key role in coordinating the course and ensuring its relevance to the needs of public sector institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic. The course outcomes and recommendations were shared with relevant stakeholders, including government officials and international development partners, to promote further collaboration and support for organizational performance improvement initiatives in the country.
