The program's timeframes were divided into three phases, with the first phase lasting from 2018 to 2020, the second phase from 2020 to 2022, and the third phase from 2022 to 2024. Recommendations for future initiatives included scaling up the program to other provinces and districts, as well as increasing the focus on irrigation infrastructure development. The initiative's methodology involved a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods, including surveys, focus groups, and key informant interviews. Data collection and analysis were conducted by a team of local and international researchers, with technical assistance provided by USAID and other partner organizations. The initiative's findings highlighted the importance of addressing soil degradation and limited market access as key challenges to agricultural development in Rwanda. The results also emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to agricultural development, one that incorporates both agricultural and market access interventions.
