Abstract
Partners included the Joint Health and Food Security Program (JHFP), the National Agricultural and Animal Resources Development Program (NAARDP), and the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB). The program's success was attributed to the effective integration of agricultural and market access interventions, as well as the strong engagement of local communities and stakeholders. The initiative's impact was also influenced by the country's favorable policy environment, which supported the development of the agricultural sector. The midterm evaluation highlighted the importance of continued support for the program, particularly in areas such as irrigation development and market access facilitation. The evaluation also emphasized the need for further research on the long-term sustainability of the program's impact and the potential for scaling up the initiative to other regions. The agricultural development initiative in Rwanda has demonstrated the potential for collaborative efforts to improve food security and agricultural productivity in developing countries. The program's success serves as a model for future initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture and market access in Africa.
