Abstract
The district office is tasked with providing high-quality, responsive city services, including sanitation, streets, drainages, parks, greenery, markets, revenue collection, permits, construction, maintenance, land regulations, financial management, budget development, capital improvement planning, administrative management, donor coordination, and direct interaction with other government agencies within the city district jurisdiction. The district office's scope and responsibilities include implementing knowledge management policies and plans, revenue generation, controlling prices and measuring appliances, regulating and universalizing the metric system, distributing price lists to businesses, granting trade licenses to various guilds, property registration, controlling and supervising businesses, preparing city statistics, solving day-to-day problems of citizens, raising public awareness regarding city culture, implementing small projects, and reporting on different issues to the Policy and Coordination department and related departments. The district office is also required to prioritize technical affairs, particularly in the engineering and construction sectors, and coordinate their policies with the Policy and Coordination departments.
