Bassett, David; Clarke, Darwin E. · 1981
Abstract
PES covers the period 9/79-1/81 and consists of a facesheet attached to a special mid-term evaluation (XD-AAJ-137-A). Action decisions are to: (1) reallocate underutilized project funds to provide additional equipment, laboratory supplies, and travel funds for onsite follow-up by CAREC staff; (2) emphasize improved management, self-audit, and outbreak/problem recognition in the Expanded Program on Immunization; (3) increase CAREC involvement in training public health nurses and public health inspectors; (4) transfer unused funds for medical epidemiologist traineeships and medical student clerkships to additional onsite follow-up funding for greater in-country visibility; and (5) develop written objectives and evaluation plans for each surveillance laboratory training assistance course.
