Abstract
The project's work plan for Year 2 outlines specific objectives and activities to be implemented in the period from October 2012 to September 2013. One of the primary objectives of the project is to plan and conduct baseline surveys for the Zone of Influence (ZOI) in several countries, including Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Tajikistan, Uganda, Zambia, and Kenya. The surveys will utilize the Feed the Future Performance-Based System (PBS) instrument to collect data on various indicators related to agricultural development. The project's work plan outlines specific activities and timelines for each country. For example, in Malawi, the project team will conduct an inception visit and reach agreement with the Mission and Bureau for Food Security (BFS) on the PBS workplan. The team will also submit a survey protocol, provide training in survey conduct, conduct the survey, enter indicator values in the Feed the Future Management System (FTFMS), and submit a final report. Similar activities are planned for the other countries, with some variations in the timeline and specific tasks. For instance, in Mozambique, the project team will conduct an inception visit and reach agreement with the Mission and BFS on the PBS workplan, but the survey will be delayed due to local IRB review. The project's work plan also outlines the responsibilities of various team members, including the project manager, technical lead, and other team members. The plan includes specific indicators and targets for each activity, as well as timelines and deadlines for completion. Overall, the Feed the Future FEEDBACK Project's work plan for Year 2 outlines a comprehensive set of activities and objectives aimed at improving the effectiveness of agricultural development programs in several countries. The project's focus on performance monitoring and evaluation will help to ensure that the programs are meeting their intended goals and objectives.
