Abstract
The project was implemented by Chemonics International under Contract Number AID-121-C-11-00001. The project's objective was to improve the pre-sale preparation of grapes juice at ASC "KURGAN" to increase its competitiveness in the domestic and international markets. The project focused on enhancing the quality of grapes juice by introducing new technologies and improving the existing production process. ASC "KURGAN" received training and technical assistance to upgrade its equipment and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The cooperative also received support for developing a quality management system and implementing a traceability system for grapes juice production. The project's implementation involved several key activities, including the installation of new equipment, such as a pasteurizer and a bottling line, and the training of ASC "KURGAN" staff on the operation and maintenance of the new equipment. The cooperative also received support for developing a marketing strategy and improving its sales network. The project's goal was to increase the production capacity of ASC "KURGAN" and improve the quality of its grapes juice to meet the requirements of the domestic and international markets. The project's geographic focus was on the Ukraine, with a specific emphasis on the regions where ASC "KURGAN" operates. The project's timeframes were from November 2015 to the project's completion. The project's recommendations included the continued implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices and the development of a quality management system to ensure the consistent quality of grapes juice production.
