Abstract
The activity began on September 30, 2020, and will conclude on October 1, 2025. The implementing partner is DT Global, and the activity is managed by USAID South Sudan. The geographic focus of the activity is on six states in South Sudan: Western Bahr el Ghazal, Unity, Jonglei, Eastern Equatoria, Upper Nile, and Central Equatoria. The activity's Roving cluster enables it to program on a cross-border basis and address issues among communities who live side by side. The activity can also program in new states or counties, with USAID's prior approval, following the USAID-defined "Pivot Process." During the reporting period, October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023, the activity made significant progress in promoting peace and peaceful coexistence. The activity implemented various interventions, including farmer training programs, infrastructure development, and market linkage facilitation. The activity also made progress in promoting peace and peaceful coexistence through various initiatives, including community engagement, media training, and advocacy on a national level. The activity's integration of cross-cutting issues and USAID priorities was also a key focus area. The activity worked to address Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Gender Equality, and Social Inclusion, as well as Engagement of Youth, Integration/Collaboration, Community Engagement/Involvement, Trauma-sensitivity and psychosocial support, Environmental Compliance, and Global Climate Change. The activity also engaged with stakeholders and involved them in the decision-making process. The activity's management and administrative issues were also addressed, and lessons were learned from the implementation of the activity. The activity's key findings and actions, including those from Third Party Monitoring (TPM), were also documented. The activity's planned outreach activities for the next quarter included upcoming events, and the work plan for the upcoming reporting period was also outlined. The activity's financial management was also reported, and the progress summary, financial management, GIS information, and success stories were provided in the annexes. The activity's objectives were to promote peace processes and peaceful coexistence, advocate for peace, justice, reconciliation, and reform, provide trauma awareness services to communities, and provide accurate, fair, and thorough information to mitigate the destructive impact of rumor and misinformation. The activity made significant progress in achieving these objectives, and the report provides a comprehensive overview of the activity's progress and achievements.
