Accessing Google Sites begins with clicking the USAID Sites web page or selecting the Sites App hyperlink from any other Google Apps page.

Abstract
This action opens a page displaying sites that the user has access to. To create a new site, the user clicks the Create new site button, initiating the site creation process. The Create a new site in usaid.gov page appears, featuring the default Blank template. Users may select the Browse the gallery for more hyperlink to access a vast array of templates. For this example, the Project Tracking Template was chosen from the Business Collaboration options. This template provides a pre-designed layout for tracking projects and collaborations. Upon selecting the Project Tracking Template, the user is presented with options for customizing the template. The user can click the Preview template hyperlink to view the template and select the Use this template button to apply the template to the site. The Create a new site in usaid.gov page then appears, allowing the user to input site details. The site name is entered into the Name your site field, and the name is auto-filled as the custom URL for the site in the Your site will be located at this URL field. The user can also select a theme for the site, which determines the overall look and design. For this example, the Ember theme was selected. Additional site details can be entered, including the type of site and a description. The site creator determines who is able to view and collaborate within the site by selecting the appropriate radial button under Collaboration with. The options include Everyone at USAID or Only people I specify can view this site. Once the site details are complete, the user clicks the Create site button to create the new site. The new site is now available, and users can edit pages within the site by selecting the Edit page button from the upper right-hand corner. The Edit Toolbar appears, providing the necessary tools for editing the page.
