Abstract
The CKM II team is led by EnCompass LLC, with the Institute for Development Impact (I4DI) and FHI360 as subcontractors. The CKM II project's results framework is designed to achieve the overall objective of providing knowledge management and communication services in support of USAID's implementation of the U.S. government Global Water Strategy. The framework consists of three intermediate results: greater awareness and understanding of USAID WASH activities, increased access to and use of information, and increased sharing, learning, and collaborating. These intermediate results are further broken down into sub-intermediate results, which provide additional detail in support of each intermediate result. The CKM II team will collaborate intentionally with stakeholders to share knowledge and reduce duplication of effort. This collaboration will involve strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including representatives of targeted audiences, WASH central mechanisms, USAID WASH staff, and other relevant EnCompass projects. The team will also use an adapted version of the Kirkpatrick model to help frame and prioritize learning, focusing on tracking reception and reaction, and using proxy indicators to identify learning and behavior change. The CKM II project's performance indicators are designed to track progress towards the project's objectives and targets. These indicators include measures of awareness and understanding, access to and use of information, and sharing, learning, and collaborating. The project will also track data-driven storytelling and visualization, as well as the application of knowledge. The CKM II team will use these indicators to evaluate the project's performance and make adjustments as needed. The CKM II project's quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) plan is designed to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the project's data and information. This plan includes procedures for data management, data validation, and data analysis. The project will also establish a system for tracking and reporting on the quality of its data and information. The CKM II project's geographic focus is global, with a particular emphasis on the U.S. government's Global Water Strategy. The project's timeframes are from June 2021 to April 2023, with updates and revisions made throughout the project period. The project's recommendations are based on the project's performance indicators and the results of its monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities.
