USAID. MISSION TO INDONESIA
OPG to Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to increase agricultural production and small farmer income in the Loes, Loclo, and Seical River Basins of East Timor, Indonesia.
1981

Abstract
CRS will use A.I.D. grant funds to: (1) reclaim agricultural land which has lain unused over the past few years due to civil strife; (2) support agricultural extension services for both lowland and upland areas in the river basins; (3) provide farmers with equipment and training needed for improved farming technologies; and (4) work with the Government of Indonesia to improve or construct the necessary infrastructure for project activities. CRS will work first in the Loes River Basin, and then expand to the two other target areas. The project is expected to benefit some 5,000 people in the Loes River Basin alone.
