Grant is authorized under the Human Rights Initiatives Project (5980591) to the International Republican Institute (IRI) to support a 30-member observer delegation to monitor Mexico"s national elections on August 21, 1994.

Abstract

The delegation, half of whose members will be from the United States and half from Latin America, will be deployed to sites in 26 cities and regions to observe the voting and vote counting process. IRI"s mission will be a joint delegation coordinated with a 30-member delegation to be organized by the National Democratic Institute (see PD-ABJ-249).
