Abstract
The purpose of ICME is to provide services that facilitate collaboration between the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) activities, integration of USAID/Mexico development objectives, interagency collaboration, and use of evidence for decision-making. ICME activities were organized around three task areas: Component 1: Monitoring and Related Analysis, Component 2: Surveys, More In-Depth Analyses, and Evaluation, and Component 3: Integration, Collaboration, and Facilitation of USAID/Mexico and other USG activities. Technical activities included Rule of Law Monitoring Support, Analysis of external data and indicators on anti-corruption, and Mexico Private Sector Landscape Assessment. During this quarter, ICME identified and recruited two qualified consultants to support the on-going technical activities related to the Rule of Law Monitoring Support activity and the Mexico Private Sector Landscape Assessment. The consultants, Mr. Héctor Arcos and Ms. Mariam Baquedano, were selected after a competitive bidding process and received USAID approval on April 29 and June 7, respectively. Administrative activities included submitting a tax report to USAID, receiving approval to include additional labor categories in the contract, and submitting a certification regarding trafficking in persons. ICME also designed and applied a survey to solicit USAID staff feedback on the ICME activity. Indicator progress was reported for the quarter, with almost all indicators changing except for indicator no. 4, "Number of evaluations, monitoring analysis and surveys accepted by USAID." The survey designed by ICME aimed to solicit feedback from USAID staff on the ICME activity. The ICME activity implemented activities in Mexico City and conducted field work in Tijuana, Ciudad Juárez, and Saltillo during this quarter. The reporting period was from April 1, 2021, to June 30, 2021.
