Abstract
The project aims to enhance conditions that facilitate the involvement of young women by creating a safer and more supportive environment for them to participate in development activities. The project involves the construction of a new two-floor building for the Tulkarem YDRC with a total area of approximately 740 m2, including landscaping and improvements of the existing facility. Similarly, a new two-floor building will be constructed for the Tubas YDRC with a total area of approximately 800 m2. Works include demolishing and reconstructing the existing Tubas YDRC cantina space, repairs and repainting at the existing facility, construction of a new facility entrance, and landscaping. The project is located in Tubas and Tulkarem cities, with the owner being Tubas YDRC and Tulkarem YDRC. The donor and client is USAID, with the Contracting Officer being Rami Abu Ktaish and the Construction Management Contractor being AECOM. The Notice of Award was issued on September 29, 2023, and the Notice to Proceed was given on December 28, 2023. The project duration is 360 calendar days, with a completion date of December 21, 2024. The contract value is $5,869,276.60, with a BOQ line-item amount of $5,351,692.00 and a day works amount of $250,000.00.
