Abstract
The project aims to enhance conditions that will facilitate the involvement of young women by creating a safer and more supportive environment for them to participate in development activities. The project scope includes the construction of a new two-floor building for the Tulkarem YDRC with a total area of approximately 740 m2, including landscaping and improvements of the existing facility. For the Tubas YDRC, the project involves the construction of a new two-floor building with a total area of approximately 800 m2, demolishing and reconstructing the existing cantina space, repairing and repainting the existing facility, constructing a new facility entrance, and landscaping. The project is located in Tubas and Tulkarem, with the owner being the Tubas YDRC and Tulkarem YDRC. The donor and client is USAID, with the Task Order COR being Rami Abu Ktaish. The construction contractor is Arab Brothers Company, with the Notice of Award issued on September 29, 2023, and the Notice to Proceed issued on December 28, 2023. The project duration is 360 calendar days, with the completion date set for December 21, 2024. As of February 2024, the project has achieved 5.26% actual completion, with 2.02% actual completion for the Tubas YDRC and 0.99% actual completion for the Tulkarem YDRC. The planned percentage of completion for the project is 6.54%, with 3.62% planned completion for the Tubas YDRC and 2.04% planned completion for the Tulkarem YDRC. The project team has been actively working on various activities, including the submission of construction submittals, the implementation of safety and traffic control measures, and the installation of temporary signs. The project team has also been reviewing and revising the Environmental Management Plan (EMMP) and the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule. The project team has identified several activities for the next month, including the submission of pre-construction submittals, the finalization of the submission of construction submittals, and the implementation of safety and traffic control measures. The project team will also continue to review and revise the EMMP and the CPM schedule. The project has a total contract value of $5,869,276.60, with a BOQ line-item amount of $5,351,692.00 and a day works amount of $250,000.00. The project has a planned completion date of December 21, 2024, with a contract elapsed time of 10%.
