Abstract
The program was implemented from May 13, 2010, to May 14, 2011, by The QED Group, LLC. The primary objective of KDMD was to enhance the capacity of microenterprises and small businesses to contribute to economic growth and poverty reduction. The program focused on three key areas: microenterprise development, food security and agriculture, and economic growth. In the microenterprise development program, learning networks, seminars, and speakers' corners/e-consultations were established to facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building among microenterprise owners and managers. The learning networks provided a platform for participants to share experiences, best practices, and lessons learned. Seminars and speakers' corners/e-consultations were organized to provide training and technical assistance on various topics, including business planning, marketing, and financial management. The food security and agriculture program aimed to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and rural communities. Seminars, trainings, and technical briefs were conducted to enhance the knowledge and skills of farmers and agricultural extension agents. The program also focused on promoting market access and improving the quality of agricultural products. Agrilinks and Ag Exchange were established to facilitate the exchange of information and best practices among stakeholders in the agricultural sector. The economic growth program aimed to promote economic growth and development in various regions. Introductory courses on economic growth, enterprise development, and trade and commerce were conducted to enhance the knowledge and skills of stakeholders. The program also focused on promoting entrepreneurship and small business development, particularly in post-conflict countries. The Europe and Eurasia Program aimed to promote economic growth and development in the region. A VTC meeting on the MAT policy advocacy toolkit was conducted to enhance the knowledge and skills of stakeholders. The program also focused on promoting social transitions and economic growth in the region. The Jamaica Program aimed to promote economic growth and development in the country. A VTC meeting on the MAT policy advocacy toolkit was conducted to enhance the knowledge and skills of stakeholders. The program also focused on promoting resources and policy planning and learning. The Policy Planning and Learning (PPL) Program aimed to promote economic growth and development through policy planning and learning. An e-consultation on broad-based economic growth was conducted to enhance the knowledge and skills of stakeholders. The program also focused on promoting evidence-based policy making and learning. The Office of Development Partners (ODP) played a key role in supporting the implementation of the KDMD program. The ODP provided technical assistance and capacity building support to stakeholders in the microenterprise development, food security and agriculture, and economic growth sectors. The ODP also facilitated the exchange of information and best practices among stakeholders in the region. The KDMD program achieved significant results in promoting economic growth and development in various regions. The program enhanced the capacity of microenterprises and small businesses to contribute to economic growth and poverty reduction. The program also improved the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and rural communities through the food security and agriculture program. The economic growth program promoted entrepreneurship and small business development, particularly in post-conflict countries.
