Abstract
1 series is a collection of three books designed for students of IGER. Each book is a text of activities and exercises that complement the existing curriculum. The series aims to provide students with additional opportunities to practice written communication and interpretation of written messages. The first book is divided into 10 units, each starting with a reading assignment. Following the reading, students will find the objectives of the unit, which outline what is expected to be achieved through the recommended work. Each unit includes individual and group activities, with a focus on participation and collaboration among students and their MOV (Maestro Orientador Voluntario). The series covers various topics related to cultural identity, family values, and the development of peace agreements, among others. The content is designed to be novel and complementary to the existing IGER curriculum. The text employs techniques of distance education and self-learning, allowing students to progress at their own pace without the need for constant communication with their MOV. Some exercises require students to consult with others and institutions within their community, and it is recommended that they inform these individuals of their studies and the purpose of their research. Upon completing each unit, students are encouraged to review the objectives and evaluate their own progress, reflecting on how they have achieved the expected outcomes. The series is designed to facilitate personal growth and learning for both students and their study groups. The author invites readers to embark on a new journey of discovery and development, emphasizing that the path ahead is theirs to explore.
