Abstract
The manual is directed at PDA workers and aims to promote changes and attitudes that enable the integration and participation of men and women in development processes. The manual is structured into three modules: Sensibilización de Género, Género y Cultura Organizacional, and Género y Desarrollo. Each module is designed to promote reflection, analysis, and proposals for the incorporation of the gender approach in PDA's lines of action. Module I: Sensibilización de Género focuses on the construction of gender through personal experiences and socialization processes. The module includes activities such as "Reflexionando sobre la construcción social de género" and "Aprendiendo a ser hombre o mujer." These activities aim to analyze the activities, behaviors, and roles that define masculinity and femininity, which are transmitted and reinforced through socialization. Module II: Género y Cultura Organizacional identifies the organizational culture as a key aspect of the organization, present in all functions and actions of its members. The module includes activities such as "Identificando la cultura organizacional" and "Reconociendo los valores en una organización." These activities aim to analyze the ideas, values, and beliefs that exist in an organization and recognize the importance of incorporating the gender approach in the organizational culture of PDA. Module III: Género y Desarrollo addresses the analysis of development and alternative development from a gender perspective in different areas of intervention. The module includes activities such as "Enfoque de género y desarrollo en los programas y proyectos" and "Análisis de género." These activities aim to analyze the processes of development with a gender approach and recognize the importance of incorporating the analysis of gender in PDA's lines of action. The manual is designed to promote a climate conducive to the development of educational activities, allowing participants to respond to questions and clarify doubts about the topics and tasks assigned. The manual also includes an orientation methodology that provides guidelines for facilitators and participants to follow during the training sessions. The PDA manual on Sensibilización y Capacitación sobre Género y Desarrollo aims to contribute to the strengthening of relationships between individuals and institutions, promoting attitudes favorable to the incorporation of gender in personal and professional life. The manual is a tool for the sensitization and training of PDA workers, promoting the development of a culture of gender equality and social justice.
