Abstract
The Culmination Workshop, originally scheduled for December 2020, was postponed to April 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The workshop aimed to achieve two primary objectives: a joint review of the Theory of Change (TOC) and remaining award implementation plans in light of new learning from four essential research activities, and agreement on a refined TOC and implementation priorities. The four research activities included a gender analysis, economic analysis, value chain and market systems analysis, and social and behavior change formative research. Program Cycle Support (PCS) did not participate in the planning process for the Culmination Workshop but began supporting BHA's existing plans in February 2020. To meet the workshop objectives, PCS collaborated with BHA to design and deliver five online sessions, ranging from one to two-and-a-half hours, and provided the partner with technical assistance. The Culmination Workshop involved collaboration and coordination between the Implementing Partner (IP) and BHA, with a focus on achieving the workshop objectives. The workshop's effectiveness was evaluated through surveys, which showed a high level of satisfaction with the collaboration and coordination between the IP and BHA. The surveys also indicated that the workshop met expectations, with a high percentage of respondents agreeing that the culmination workshop was successful. The PCS facilitation quality was also evaluated, with a high percentage of respondents indicating satisfaction with the facilitation. The surveys showed that the workshop achieved its objectives, with a high level of agreement among respondents that the IP and BHA staff were able to agree on key modifications to activity design and implementation plans, as well as on areas for continued learning. The Culmination Workshop also included sustainability discussions, which aimed to ensure the long-term impact of the RFSA. The workshop's sustainability objectives were achieved, with a high level of agreement among respondents that the IP and BHA staff were able to agree on key areas for continued learning. The workshop's relationship-building efforts were also successful, with a high level of satisfaction with the facilitation quality. The PCS proposed adaptations, including ideas that BHA may wish to consider, were also discussed during the workshop. The proposed adaptations aimed to improve the effectiveness of the RFSA and ensure its long-term sustainability. The workshop's overall expectations were met, with a high level of satisfaction among respondents with the culmination workshop's effectiveness. The RFSA Titukulane's Culmination Workshop was a critical milestone in the program's lifecycle, marking the end of the refinement period and the beginning of the implementation phase. The workshop's success was a result of the collaboration and coordination between the IP and BHA, as well as the effective facilitation by PCS. The workshop's outcomes will inform the future direction of the RFSA and ensure its long-term sustainability.
