Abstract
The project aims to increase access to quality services for at-risk groups, enhance Moroccan-led CVE initiatives, and strengthen community resilience. During the reporting period, April to June 2021, the project continued to face challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these challenges, the project made significant progress in various areas. The project's Reception and Orientation and Support (CAPSAO) model was strengthened, and the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) response to the negative effects of the pandemic on communities was implemented through three campaigns, which reached just under 120,000 views. The project also made progress in reintegrating excluded youths, with 206 youths reintegrated through various activities, compared to 124 in the previous quarter. This is attributed to improved internal coordination between services. Additionally, the project continued to provide support to teachers, who ended their strike, and school attendance improved. The project's results and activities are focused on three sub-purposes: increasing access to quality services for at-risk groups, enhancing Moroccan-led CVE initiatives, and strengthening community resilience. The project's results include increasing numbers of marginalized individuals successfully integrated into society, One-Stop-Shops playing an increasing role in policy and programming, and women becoming increasingly resilient to violent extremist organizations (VEOs) and effective in preventing VE. The project's implementation is led by the IOM, with support from various partners, including the Government of Morocco, local authorities, and civil society organizations. The project's geographical coverage is in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, and the project's duration is from June 14, 2019, to March 31, 2024. The project's total estimated funding is USD 24,000,000, and the total funds received to date are USD 8,853,584. The project's total expenditures are USD 9,736,290.
