2015 · 5 pages

Abstract
The project, funded by MCHIP/Malawi with a total obligation funding amount of $50,000, aims to track immunization status of children in Ntchisi and Dowa districts. During the reporting period, activities were conducted to orient and train village heads and volunteers in Ntchisi and Dowa districts. In Ntchisi, 82 ADC members were debriefed on 3rd December, while in Dowa, 50 officials of the District Executive Committee were debriefed on 11 December. Additionally, debriefing of 65 members of ADC in TA Chiwele and Nsakambewa orientation was carried out on 15th December. However, several challenges were encountered during the reporting period. These included the discovery of many villages than budgeted, lack of transport receipts from participants, and confusion on the part of participants regarding the project timeframe. To address these challenges, actions were taken, such as revising the budget to accommodate extra village headmen and volunteers, writing memos to justify transport reimbursements, and stopping emphasis on the project timeframe to avoid confusion. The project also faced management issues, including delays in implementation due to the activity timeline coinciding with the end of year closing at PACHI on 18 December 2015. As a result, planned activities were postponed into the new year (January 2016). Planned activities for the next month, January 2016, include conducting village heads and volunteer trainings in four T/As in the two districts. The project also aims to update the Project Management Plan (PMP) and track progress toward key indicators.
