Abstract
The program was announced through a Request for Application (RFA), which was publicly advertised in various channels. The RFA was published in a specific timeframe, allowing organizations to submit proposals within a designated period. The target audience for the program consisted of specific geographic regions and types of organizations, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs). A total of 25 organizations submitted proposals in response to the RFA. The eligibility criterion for the program was based on a set of predefined requirements, which were used to evaluate the proposals. After reviewing the proposals, a selection committee comprising representatives from FHI Development 360 and CAP Mozambique evaluated the applications. The committee considered various factors, including the organization's experience, capacity, and alignment with the program's objectives. As a result, 10 organizations were deemed eligible to receive funding. The selection committee conducted site visits to assess the organizations' capacity and feasibility of implementing the program. The visits were conducted by a team of evaluators, who used a standardized questionnaire to gather information. The site visits provided valuable insights, which informed the selection decisions. Following the site visits, the selection committee made the final decisions regarding the selection of organizations for the program. The selected organizations received a detailed proposal and budget template, which they were required to submit for review. The final decisions regarding the selection of organizations for the program were based on a comprehensive evaluation of the proposals, site visits, and other relevant factors. The selected organizations were notified of their selection and were provided with further instructions on the next steps to be taken.
