Abstract
The device is used to improve agricultural planning, programming, and decision-making for producers. By localizing elements and obtaining coordinates of points, lines, and polygons, producers can create accurate maps to inform their decisions. To operate the GPS 72H, users must first turn on the device by pressing and holding the "Allumer" button. The device features various menus and options, including "ZOOM," "MOB," "IN," "OUT," "GPS 72H," "GOTO," "PAGE," "MENU," "ENTER," and "QUIT." Users must navigate through these menus to access the device's settings and features. The device's settings are accessed through the "MENU PRINCIPAL" option, which allows users to select the "Réglage" option. Within the "Réglage" menu, users can adjust various settings, including the "Mode" to "Normal," the "Heure" to a specific time, and the "Unites" to a preferred unit of measurement. Additionally, users can activate or deactivate the WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) feature and select the language preference, which is set to "Français" by default. The GPS 72H device also features a "General" menu, which allows users to adjust various settings, including the "Temporisat. Retroeclairage" to "Permanent" and the "BIP SONORE" to "Touche et message." Users can also select the language preference and unit of measurement for the device. To complete the settings process, users must repeat the procedure for the "Heure," "Unités," and "Position" screens. By following these steps, users can configure the GPS 72H device to meet their specific needs and preferences. The device's settings and features are designed to provide accurate and reliable geospatial referencing and data collection for agricultural producers.
